Authentic fan photography licensed for Airbnb's 2026 World Cup campaign.

Photo Licensing

Airbnb got in touch to see if they could  take a peak at our archive of original fan photography – for what would be their The World is Meant to Meet 2026 World Cup ad – and of course we obliged.

Drawing from our archive of original fan photography, we curated a collection of licensable images capturing the full spectrum of football fandom. From intimate moments between friends to scenes of collective celebration, the brief centred on finding images that reflected football’s unique ability to bring people together across generations, cultures, and communities.

One of our own photographs, captured by the brilliant photographer Raiyan Rafiq, featured in the final campaign. Originally shot as part of our previous World Cup Pub Charter project, the image documented a fan experience often overlooked in football culture: women gathering to watch the game in spaces that feel welcoming, safe, and inclusive. Seeing an image born from an independent community-led project become part of a global World Cup campaign was a powerful reminder that the most compelling stories don’t need manufacturing, they’re already happening.
