EVERTON

I am a Liverpool based photographer, working professionally in the industry for 4 years. Photography has been an interest of mine since my early teens. I studied photography for A Level and continued as a hobby until realising I could pursue it as a job.
What’s your relationship to Everton?
I’d be lying if I said I was a devout Evertonian but I do have a soft spot for the club! I actually grew up a huge LFC fan and over time decided I’d rather support both teams that represent my city (controversial I know). I’ve photographed a lot of Everton fans at games over the years, particularly at Goodison Park. They’re a very close knit, homely community and always a joy to capture with my camera. No matter the score, they’re just there to have a good time.
What was photographing Everton fans like?
I photographed fans before the Everton v Newcastle game on a cold, rainy afternoon at Hill Dickinson Stadium – my first time shooting at the new ground! Despite the weather, the fans were full of energy as usual. One particular fan stood out to me, Pam, who caught my eye as she was dancing away in front of the DJ in The Bluehouse bar. Head to toe Everton, including her socks!
