Over the last ten years we’ve been proud of lots of branded and original projects that have helped to push female football culture forward. Here’s a brief history of some of our favourite moments.
This Fan Girl started as a photography project in 2026, capturing the faces of real female fans from across the country.
Officially registered as a business with a focus on creating a community for women in football, and started hosting watch parties in London, Manchester, New York & Paris.
Celebrated the World Cup 2019 out in France and on the ground in London with a week long residency at Peckham Springs.
Gained government recognition and awarded Points Of Light award.
Stayed busy in COVID and started working on our first ever podcast – The Biggest Fan Pod – featuring Ella Toone in episode 2
Set up Leicester based Vicky Park Queens, the now largest grassroots women’s football team in the East Midlands
Hosted a tournament for 300+ women’s and girls from all over the UK at St George’s Park
Took over the ground floor of the National Football Museum for Women’s Euro 2022
Built a Pub Charter – informed by our community – on advice for pubs to keep their female fans safer over the first ever World Cup to be played in the dark
Officially launched TFG Studios – This Fan Girls commercial arm, focused on creative content, research and consultancy
Launched FRIENDLY – our in real life studio and events space for creative football fandom in Leicester.
